Brookfield Properties contracted EMO for sustainable design assistance and commissioning services. The project involved a partial build-out of a one level commercial interior in a downtown DC office building. The project started out with a goal of certification and ended with Gold level certification.
This space was designed to minimize the embodied energy associated with the production of new materials by using recycled or locally made products. The site was selected for the proximity to local businesses and public transportation minimizing the required use of conventional transportation.
EMO is currently assisting Brookfield Properties with the Victor Building’s pursuit of LEED®-EBOM certification.
