EMO achieved LEED Gold Certification of their new office space fit-out through the LEED Commercial Interiors rating system. The space is approximately 5,000 square feet in a commercial office building in the DC metro area. EMO intended to develop a high quality work atmosphere with minimal impact on the environment.

This space was designed to minimize the materials used and the embedded energy associated with the production of new materials by adapting the current floor plan and furniture from the previous tenant. The efficient lighting fixtures and lighting controls designed resulted in a 40% reduction in energy use for the office space.
